Truth!

Things I want to do in 2026 (aside from, you know, generally survive, afford to live, spend time with my children etc.):
- Publish my second book
- Publish the third (hopefully)
- Improve my drawing skills
- Start reading & making zines

This made me laugh. I just use scrap bits of paper now because then I won't be upset when, inevitably, I lose them.

I've swapped from using my phone as a bookmark to using another book as a bookmark.
Meanwhile, I have a stack of actual bookmarks on the shelf.

Do it! Don't wait. Who knows how long our "one day's" will last?!

Don't punish yourself any more! There are so many other books out there to read.

I would suggest the free course by David Gaughran called Starting From Zero where he walks you through the process and all the options. His YouTube tutorials, newsletter and books are all great sources of information.

I've mostly only used Story Origin for newsletter sign-ups using my free reader magnet short story, but I don't see why you shouldn't do it for books at .99c. Like everything in the author world, I would try it and see what happens!

2) Become an ARC reader. Read/leave reviews/rinse repeat

3) Your local library has both electronic and dead tree books.
