Nice article! 20 years ago a handful of us from GameSpot, IGN, Game Informer, etc. got to watch Mariners’ opening day from Nintendo’s luxury box as part of a press junket for Pennant Chase Baseball. We even got to be on the field for Twins’ BP! The game was never released, unfortunately.

Yup, no stairs anywhere. It was designed with a sheer foot+ drop surrounding the whole thing.

At a former gig we got to visit the Dreamworks Animation campus in Burbank. Most amazing ponds, streams and waterfalls everywhere. Our hosts told us after it was built they had to add little wooden ramps everywhere, due to squirrels drowning. Wildlife UX matters!
