BTW I do also think the first and last page, responding to a slightly menacing postcard that judge received, are worth everyone reading.

The judge is deliberately modeling democracy itself, in how he responds to a person who appears more committed to his favored president than to democracy.

This is the core of it. The last part, about Trump, will get more attention (p. 148-60) and fair enough.

But I don't think we should lose track of the fact that the heart of this case is holding the federal government accountable for its open, promised, unambiguous violations of the 1st Amendment.

Whatever the ultimate disposition of this case, Judge Young’s factual summary on pp. 15-94 is immensely valuable. He discusses in exhaustive detail the Trump administration's policies, actions, and comments regarding ideological deportation.
