Respect to those calling out Crystal Semaganis and her "Ghost Warrior Society" for her harmful behavior. It takes courage to stand up to lateral violence. We need more of this. Protecting our spaces starts with accountability.

It is not for anyone to determine who is "Native enough" or not...that only serves to further empower the colonial structures.

Many are just beginning and wanting to learn their traditions, languages, prayers, songs, dances and stories. Don't feel as though it's too late to learn and don't let anyone's opinion of you wanting to learn stop you. #WeaversofUnity

This is a story very common to #indigenous people.Rather than judge someone for lack of traditional knowledge, commend them for trying to learn.

Adoption records are often unavailable to the public, so claiming to be able to accurately determine someone's lineage without their explicit consent and being given access to such records is quite simply impossible. Use licensed private investigators, not vigilantes.
