Hegseth’s history with alcohol shadows Pentagon selection
A review of Pete Hegseth’s writings and interviews shows that he has been blunt about what he called his use of alcohol.
“I’d look around at 10 o’clock and be like, ‘What am I going to do today? How about I drink some beers? How about I go have some lunch and have some beers? How about I meet my one or two buddies and have some beers?’” Hegseth recounted in August 2021.

The Senate tonight confirmed Lt. Gen. Chris Donahue, who was involved in the Afghanistan withdrawal, to be promoted to four-star general and command Army Europe and Africa. Sen. Markwayne Mullin had placed a hold on his promotion before Thanksgiving and please to have dropped it.

The drone rangers: Trump world declares war on fighter pilots
Billionaires in the president-elect's orbit are pushing for military drones that "can basically do almost anything."
Billionaires like Elon Musk and Marc Andreessen - both close to Trump - are talking a lot these days about how drones could replace weapons like F35s.
With other startup founders/tech investors in the Trump orbit, change could be coming for the Pentagon.
