So my birthday is approaching in 20 days! I didnt want to post this originally, but a few good eggs pushed me in the right direction.

This year, id like to raise funds for an adjustable bedframe. As a multi-disabled human, getting out of bed has become challenging to say the least.

So, in movie musicals, when someone is singing to a person does this person hear them singing or do they just hear them talking normally?

Is singing some sort of language that they both understand or they're just talking normally and we, the audience, just hear them singing?

I feel like this is a good question for @theoperageek.com. I wonder the same things about operas.
