I would suggest that promoting a paedophile whilst parroting a strategy of prevention of harm to women & girls mean this is very undermining. I’m no Starmer basher, and think he’s done a reasonable job but this makes me very uncomfortable. What was he thinking?

Whatever happens to the UK government in light of Mandelson scandal, at least we have some shreds of due process and challenge left. A Prince has gone and we may yet lose a PM but at least we’ll still have a scrap of dignity, unlike the USA.

I am far from a Starmer-basher, but I was uncomfortable with his appointment of Mandelson from the moment it was announced. Because if it wasn’t Epstein it would have been something else, and Starmer KNEW they were still friends. Was never going to end well. So yes, error of judgement.

I’m not a Starmer basher, but honestly, what was he thinking? I mean yes, he was the best chance of finessing Trump but you have to look at why, and doesn’t leveraging that make you complicit.

None of this is “politics” if proven true:
-Illegal foreign funding
-Collusion with hostile states
-Bribes
-Unexplained property purchases
-Undeclared income
-Money laundering
-Misleading the public over Brexit
-Epstein-links
These are criminal questions

The Epstein files must be worse than we could even imagine.

Foul & abhorrent as Trump’s statements were, let’s not pretend that same callous, dismissive, ignorant views aren’t being echoed by the rest of his sycophantic, enabling, grovelling government. The US is not just no longer an ally, their alignment with Russian views is pushing them to enemy status.

No you are entirely correct. Trump landed throwing his toys out of his pram. The Europeans tucked him into bed & turned the light out. Trump left, having insulted not just Europe but most of the planet, with exactly the same ‘deal’ he arrived with, removing all EU goodwill in the process.

The delayed release of the Epstein Files is a distraction all right. You’ve already got enough evidence to impeach yr President, remove SCOTUS and scrap Congress for doing condoning what’s happening. Epstein files are just an excuse for inaction.
