Somehow I feel the cosmic setting of this world would work REALLY well for a Mesoamerican fantasy, with the way the gods are described and how they look

I've read a LOT since and holy shit this book is good....it's less mythology retelling than like some real cosmic fantasy. The strongest parts are the action, magical interactions and bloody/body horror-esque parts, it's weaker with some mundane comic relief stuff
