BREAKING: The National Treasury Employees Union is suing the Trump administration.

They're suing over Trump's "schedule F" order that that makes it easier to fire career federal workers.

The union's president says, “This order is about administering political loyalty tests."

Trump has repealed a Biden executive order mandating ethical behavior from administration employees.

The order told federal workers to:
-Not accept gifts from lobbyists
-Not take other bribes
-Not lobby for two years after government work
-And more

Now those rules are gone.

Do not look away from Palestine

What does the ceasefire mean? While an immediate ceasefire is a necessary first step toward rebuilding Gaza, and a welcome development, it is not the end of the occupation. Nor does it change anything for the rest of occupied Palestine, including the West Bank, where violence has been constant and intense. And so, IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORK.

Under the deal, Stage One — lasting 6 weeks — would see Hamas releasing a number of its remaining hostages, while Israel has pledged to release a number of Palestinian prisoners, thousands of whom have been jailed for years without charge or trial in prisons that have been described through evidence as torture camps. Israel will pull its troops from all populated areas of Gaza, while Gazans will be allowed to return to their homes, though the majority have been destroyed. Stage Two would see a “permanent end to the war.”

But even after the truce was announced on Wednesday and up until Sunday morning, Israel continued its bombardment of Gaza with increasing intensity. Air strikes in Deir el-Balah, Al-Nuseirat, Khirbet Al-Adas, Al-Bureji, and elsewhere killed more than 100 Palestinians, including children, a journalist, and medical professionals. After hours of delay, Netanyahu continuously repeated this is a temporary ceasefire and that the “war” will resume.

This was in appeal; the underlying ruling was from 2015, when Obama was confining migrant children without soap, toothbrushes, or adequate food. Yes, Trump extended these practices but the attorney who infamously argued children don’t need toothbrushes was defending Obama’s policies and practices.

The inability to recognize the real harms that Democrats do to migrant children is part of the problem. What Obama did was deeply inhumane – which made it easier for Trump to be even more draconian. On the last four years, Biden instituted Stephen Miller’s most extreme policies.
