Dough laid out, mozz applied, toppings added. Into the oven, we go!

The ingredients for the pizza sauce, including oregano, red pepper flakes, sugar, garlic, and a large can of whole peeled tomatoes.

Nine or ten cloves of garlic sautéing in a sauce pan with oregano and crushed red pepper flakes.

The assembled sauce, simmering on the stovetop.

Whipped up the dough and it’s resting/rising for a couple hours. Now I’m fixing the sauce and letting it simmer for about 15-20 minutes.

All right, party people. I’m attempting to make Sicilian pizza for the first time from scratch!
