That’s very kind of you but it’s just part of a series of images I’m making as prints - destined for a series of zines in due course.

No that’s just natural light shining into the shopping centre - used the flash at James’ wedding in the evening with the slow shutter and outside at the Mersey meet up when it was dull - seemed to balance nicely

I often throw social media balls in the air and wait to see who hits it first - boom

It’s the only way you can tell if it’s still active - give it a good sniff

Man how I love the smell of selenium toner in the morning……

A few minutes with the contact sheet helps focus the mind.

I took this set up to a steam fair a few months back and made environmental portraits - probably it’s how I’ll use it going forward

Still trying to figure out where the RB fits into my photography.

I think having that 6x6 back helps as I love the square format most which I guess is why she gets left at home and I take a Rollei out.

If you ever find yourself in Milton Keynes do pay a visit to MK Central shopping area, I was suprised how busy and vibrant it is and an excellent place for photography when the sun shines.
Of course I had my Pentax 17 with me and had #HalfFrameStories prints on my mind.

Wandering in Cannock Chase with Mrs B and a mate on the way to the pub , the Pentax 17 was loaded with HP5 and a yellow filter, the film was rated at 250 and developed in ID11 1:1 - as soon as I saw this I knew what had to be done.
On Ilford MGRC Pearl.

The underground is a fascinating place to photograph in - always a bit cautious in case the photography police tell me off

Forgot “Shoot on Film” with Ari Jaaski, and Alex Luyckx and Tatiana Hopper for insight and thought - also I started subscribing to Frames (an excellent members discussion section) and interviews on YouTube and podcast - I await my first print mag and live chat with photographers

I give you tube a wide berth mostly as it’s most often ill informed and mid leading I find - some one or two good sites out there - John Finch , Martin Henson, Naked Photographer - struggling after that.
Only stay with FB because of the excellent groups .
I’m not much of a gear head though.

There are a couple of good FB groups to join -

I’d stood in this spot for several mornings in a row before I saw the carved face in the tree.
The next day I had better light and the Pentax 17 was loaded with some HP5 - I continue my #HalfFrameStories
