I finally processed the 2024 TRIP survey on Canadian IR, and here are the results at OpenCanada for the rankings of PhD, MA, undergrad programs and think tanks as well as views towards whether and where should Canadians get PhDs in international relations opencanada.org/the-state-of... 1/2

And honestly the main problems aren’t on agreeing to a price on the front end. It’s all the cost/failure to cover/etc. once someone actually needs it. Even with the ACA premium assistance, I couldn’t afford all of my medications because they wouldn’t cover certain drugs for folks on ACA plans.

It will also require the House to be in session so the new Rep(s) will be sworn in (one way or the other).

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a total s**t sandwich but there was no β€œwinning” move here. People ask why wait, because if the election results weren’t enough to budge the GOP, then nothing will.

I don’t think it was about that they’ll be more likely. I think they’ve realized they will never concede. Killing the ACA has always been a priority. Forcing a vote will get the GOP on record though. Plus you get SNAP fully funded through Y26, even though this only funds the govt through Jan 30.

The Electron has a 300kg lift capability, which is nowhere near the lift requirements of the needs of a G7 country.

Not sure they could get a single Falcon 9 launch from SpaceX for that much.

Should also mention the USDA has told grocery stores they can’t offer discounts to SNAP users (using the equal treatment rule ironically) even though they could grant temporary waivers to help folks out.

I literally don’t ever flash my hi-beams at other drivers for having theirs on because I just know that no matter how blindly bright the lights are now, they can always go brighter.

The main reason CI is handled by the FBI is the intel agencies are not allowed to operate within the US, by law.

What’s amazing about this pic is if you watch the video, he does actually turn and stand to see what’s going on. They ended the press conference and his media addled brain had him turn towards the exiting press because he didn’t want any pics of his side(s) taken.

A politicians dream is only having to appease 10k people instead of 100k. Not being a part of the process makes their job (of running for office) easier and often sets them on cruise control while they’re in office.

This means when NASA launches a mission the computers are using tech that is 10-15 years old. While a pure data center may not need the latest and greatest, these orbiting ones will not have the same capabilities as ones here on Earth.

The real fun part of in orbit data centers, aside from the concerns of refueling/lifespan maintenance, debris detection and mitigation, and etc. is computers to be used in space have to be hardened against the higher radiation environment, both from our sun but also the cosmic rays…

I remember he talked about this during his 1st term. Not sure if folks in the Pentagon distracted him enough for him not to do an EO or if he actually did one they just slow rolled implementing it. Have to imagine no one is left in order to stop this one.

That in it self could keep ownership costs low but then with physical cartridges, you could borrow/trade with friends, not to mention the whole secondary market. You weren’t forced to build a collection. You didn’t have to spend hundreds+ or wait for a Steam sale to try out new games/etc.

Nintendo’s big edge in the early days was the relative low cost of entry. The consoles were generally $100-150 bucks while computers were still hundreds if not thousands. But the key was once you had the console, you didn’t necessarily need to buy games. You could rent them for a few $ at a time.

Well NASA’s plutonium shortage has got worse. Sadly their budget has been slashed so thoroughly it probably won’t even matter.
