When our dog got older we figured out most wet foods just made him badly, so we had to buy food that was basically real food made into dog food consistency that cost a fortune. Absolutely worth it. When he died and we cancelled the subscription they sent us flowers. It was quite sweet.

Yeah the need for dopamine as often and quickly as possible is dismal. Though it's still installed I don't use Facebook because the enshittification of it is absolutely fucking mind boggling. Twitter I deleted years ago. I just wish I could focus my brain better.

I've slowly been trying to recalibrate my brain away from instant gratification things. Reading while having breakfast instead of YouTube for example. Of course now my brain has moved to posting on here to fill that void.

I uninstalled Instagram from my phone because the doom scrolling was very real. I didn't realise how real until the instances where muscle memory made me go for the icon that's no longer there every time I have a 'gap' in whatever I'm doing. It's actually alarming.
