If I am not mistaken the game key card needs to connect to the Internet once to download it and then it acts a key to let you play each time. You only need to connect to the Internet once to do the initial download. Now what will happen say 10+ years from now, that we do not know

Do they still work?

Don't you have to still install the games even if they are on disc? For instance rebirth was 2 discs, the first was the installation disc that had 100 GB on it, and the second was the "play" disc which had the remaining 50 and is what you use to play the game. Not really plug and play right?

Switch 2 port could easily add many more to that number. I've been holding off on it because I want to play this on the switch 2

Hopefully the "titles compatible for Nintendo switch 2" refer to Metaphor and P3R. Also hoping P6 is next year for the 30th anniversary

Also Sega had the baffling idea to not release switch 2 edition upgrades for Sonic and other games and instead expected players to repurchase the switch 2 versions of those games. Why would anyone do that instead of just dealing with playing the switch version on the new system?

Sega not doing any switch 2 edition upgrades for their games and instead requiring you to repurchase the switch 2 version was really dumb. I'm pretty convinced they are the developer that saw "below expectations" sales

I wonder what Sony was thinking when Switch was #1 in the US for years and broke the record for consecutive #1 months.

I wonder what they are thinking now with Switch 2 breaking launch records all over the world.

Maybe they should see Switch as competition outside Japan.

For example the Xenoblade 3 direct came in June 2022 and a week later was the partner direct that showed off all the persona ports coming to switch, so it is possible, but I don't think we are getting a full proper direct

I'm thinking it's possible we get a partner direct at least this month since third party titles are what people are anxious about it seems. "Reveal" the titles that were showed off at SGF and Xbox showcase that are coming to switch 2 and emphasize the support it's getting
