Those "a movie you've watched more than six times" things always throw me.

There's probably films I've watched six times in a day, and I'm not counting that time I wrote an essay on "Drowning By Numbers" & watched it 10 times in a weekend.

Translucent amber blown glass bowl with pinched ribs, decorated with marvered (smoothed) white horizontal trails. This style of glass drinking bowl is known by the German term 'zarte Rippenschalen' (meaning delicate ribbed bowls), and they appear at the beginning of the 1st century CE and cease to be produced shortly after the middle of the century.

These bowls were analyzed as a group for the first time - and given their name of 'zarte Rippenschalen' - by Dr. Thea Elisabeth Haevernick in 1958 when she listed 219 examples, followed in 1967 by a new study of another 318 pieces; so together more than 500 examples were included. This amber/honey brown color was the most common, followed by cobalt blue, and then purple.

Roman, ca. 50-100 CE, made in Yugoslavia, Balkans, and found on the island of Corfu.

Diameter: 9.50 cm (3.74 in.)
Height (max): 6.0 cm (2.36 in.)

Roman cast blue rippenschale drinking bowl with ribbed decoration around the body. Traces of white glass trails are visible across the ribs and once decorated the areas in between the ribs, as indicated by faint areas of iridescence. Bands of white glass decorate the area just below the slightly flared lip. The bottom of the vessel has a spiraling trail of white glass.

The worldโ€™s largest streaming company swallowing one of its biggest competitors is what antitrust laws were designed to prevent. The outcome would eliminate jobs, push down wages, worsen conditions for all entertainment workers, raise prices for consumers, and reduce the volume and diversity of content for all viewers. Industry workers along with the public are already impacted by only a few powerful companies maintaining tight control over what consumers can watch on television, on streaming, and in theaters. This merger must be blocked.

Finally getting around to listening to The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble (because Michael Kamen).

The album so far: three tracks that got cut from Hair for time, and a random Bach interlude.

Unsurprisingly, I'm digging it.

The enemy is always aristocracy. It changes shape to fit whatever society weโ€™re in, but the desire for it is endemic for certain types of people. You must learn to hate it as much as it hates you.
