We are pleased to announce that Youth Pride will be returning next year!
The event will take place on Saturday 27th June at the Showroom Workstation in Sheffield. Time and details TBC.

Doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. FREE ENTRY for all - sign up via the QR code. Funded by the Safer Sheffield Partnership. Includes: Discussion panel with five guests from LGBTQ+ football: Jess Birtles, David Mooney, James Fox Neville, Callum Prince and John Reavey. SWFC Community and Project 6 speakers. A chance to meet Rainbow Owls members. The graphic also includes a QR code, Rainbow Owls and Sheffield City Council logos, and a cartoon image of five LGBTQ+ people holding Pride flags, which are all placed over a backdrop of Hillsborough Stadium.

Nature Connect: This week we went on a Bee and Butterfly walk with UKEcoNet. Ian Rotherham and Christine Handley took us around Graves Park telling us all about its heritage and the unique landscapes there such as the meadows and ancient woodland. We identified some butterflies, moths and ladybirds!

04.08.2025 12:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For this month's Nature Connect group, we went to a community BioBlitz event at Shire Brook Nature Reserve. The young people tried out pond dipping, sweep netting, and had a look at moths, a snake, and a toad!

In celebration we showcased the young peoples artwork with a gallery show and zine workshop.
If you would like a copy of the zine they will be available at any future events we attend or upon request.

Our Fruitbowl groups went on a trip to Weston Park Museum last week, where they had the whole museum to themselves for the evening! We all enjoyed looking around the exhibits and played "museum bingo" where the young people drew pictures to fit into each bingo category!

A total of Β£40.02 was raised, following a pledge to donate 20% of proceeds from our #swfc raffle.
This will aid SAYiT's work in helping young LGBTQ+ people across Sheffield! π

Yesterday in Fruitbowl we ran a session to celebrate #savethefrogsday @savethefrogs on April 28th by hosting a froggy quiz, painting frogs on stones/clay lily pads and learning about amphibians and the ways we can help them!
