I've been doing crafts and having all these ideas for art projects while I've been recovering from surgery, and feeling inspired to volunteer & care for people in my community in the ways I currently can, and it's really reinforcing how much fuller my life could be if I didn't have to work so much!

Yeah, this has always felt like an important piece in my understanding of that history. I can only imagine how fleeing to Israel must have felt like the only survivable option for so many people.
