...the glaze recipes on Glazy are mostly formulated for lighter clays, so there's not much help there. Most go all jiggy on this clay. But, man, when one does hit, it can be awesome. Lotta trial and error, tho.

… yeah, that’s what I’m using, lol. They say it’s the high magnesium content in the clay. My clear glaze goes brown. What I’ve been doing is just Mashima slip stuff, but since my wife is a sculptor we’re gonna try some rough portrait busts, and jazz them up with slip, and see how that works.

… well, you got the glaze looking pretty dang good on that. I have always had quite a few problems with my black porcelain trying to get a glaze fit.
