Sara Nelson is speaking to the Belltown Community Council tonight.

This is the first time I've heard her suggest that the city should look at borrowing from the reserves of the Office of Housing in order to free up funds to plug budget holes.

The general gist based on your Seahawks Target columns makes it seem like iOL/TE as well as our back seven all have a good amount of options for us to target huh?

If Darnold is getting cut one year into this deal he wasn’t mediocre, he was straight up bad. I think the way you have to look at it is the Seahawks spent that much money for a chance at a young franchise QB. And you have to assess the move by asking if you agree the dice roll was worth taking.

This ignores a post June 1st cut in 2026 which lets you swallow the dead cap pill and take a swing at a franchise qb for relatively cheap.

Mr. Dudek acknowledged in an interview with The New York Times on Friday that he had concerns about what would happen if the fast changes generated problems that impaired the agency. He told advocates during the meeting that if they disrupted citizens to the point of being untenable, the agency would roll them back.
In another instance, the Social Security Administration briefly ended a contract that had allowed parents of newborn babies in Maine to sign their children up for a Social Security number at the hospital, instead requiring them to do so in person at an office. Mr. Dudek said he had ordered the move after watching Janet Mills, Maine's Democratic governor, clash with Mr. Trump at the White House. He quickly reversed that decision, as well as another to end electronic death reporting in the state.

What horseshit from DOD that they "mistakenly" deleted pages on the Navajo Code Talkers, black Medal of Honor recipients, Jackie Robinson, and more. They labeled them DEI and deleted them and then got caught and now they're scrambling. Nobody changes a URL by mistake. Constant lies.

If I offered obscene amounts of money for every new signing that you broke down contract terms (including cap hits), what would restrict THE #1 Seahawks insider from coming through for the fans?

Secondly… have you also noticed a league-wide trend of contract details being slow to come out?

$17.5M of the 2026 roster is partially guaranteed at signing. What keeps it from being fully guaranteed is it has to wait for a date to trigger - one week after next seasons Super Bowl. That same $17.5M is guaranteed for injury at signing though.

Do you know what Kupp's distribution of snaps by alignment looked like in 2023 and/or 2022? If the Rams made him play more outside in 2024, I wonder if part of Seattle's pitch was promising he'd return to his former slot numbers here.

Going to do a thread of all the neighborhood groups in Seattle trying to get the neighborhood center near them proposed in the draft One Seattle plan taken out.

For context, new neighborhood centers would be mixed-use zoning surrounded by increases in allowed residential density for a few blocks.

N.J. State Senator Calls For State Of Emergency Over Mystery Nighttime Drone Flights β€œOne goes over and then another," one resident said. "It’s not two or three a night, it’s 30 or 50 a night."

Swarms of dozens of large, sometimes car-sized drones have traversed eight New Jersey counties on a nightly basis for nearly a month now ― and political leaders there are calling for a state of emergency

Aaron Rodgers skipping practice for a Netflix documentary about himself is a truly fitting intro into the inspiring story of a once great player who bounced back from a devastating injury to lead a historically woebegone franchise to their worst season in a decade

With $10B deficit looming, WA governor calls on state agencies to make cuts β€’ Washington State Standard Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is warning of a budget deficit in excess of $10 billion and calling on state agencies to pare spending now to deal with it. A Nov. 8 memo from Inslee’s budget director cited...

It is not a $10B deficit WA state faces - that’s the number spread out over four years. It’s $2.5B each year. That’s manageable with new taxes on the rich and big corporations - taxes that are politically popular.

No, but I understand why people say yes. β€˜22 and β€˜23 felt like top 10-ish drafts of the last decade. It’s never felt like the overall roster has been devoid of talent which is hard to do for a franchise with so much success recently (i.e. drafting late). We are missing moves to put us over the top.

I think it’s possible to see the pressure Geno willingly agrees to attempt to carry the team. Takes risks based on the ecosystem around him to give us a shot and they don’t always work out.

Even when it does, it’s sometimes not enough given how big of a hole we’re in (he’s not faultless)
