Popping in for a minute to say that it really sucks that the murder bill passed Congress and ALSO to thank every single person who tried to stop the bill from passing. What you did matters. Finally, I wrote a few words: open.substack.com/pub/prisoncu... - I hope they might offer some encouragement.

We knew this about this Supreme Court. I guess everyone is on the same page now that the courts will not "save" us. The question is really how to save ourselves. On that, we need a lot more people doing a lot of different things for many years.

The Journal of Popular Music Studies, which I co-edit with Dr. Alisha Lola Jones, has openings for three positions -- an associate book reviews editor, an associate editor of the "field notes" section, and a web editor.

I would happily answer any questions that may arise as this file moves forward.
