This photograph captures Sir David Attenborough seated outdoors on the rugged terrain of Skomer Island. Behind him, the ocean and coastal cliffs form a scenic backdrop under a clear sky. Sir David, dressed in a khaki jacket and light trousers, looks towards the camera with a gentle expression, exuding a sense of warmth, calm, and wisdom. Around him, puffins can be seen flying and perched on the rocky ground, illuminated in rays of golden sunlight as the sun sets behind the cliffs.

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. πŸŽ‰

Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace.

You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

This really is an exceptional debut. The prose is gorgeous. A quiet book but gripping and moving. Can't think when I last read a debut this good. Congratulations to @dauntbookspub.bsky.social for getting this book out ....

Storyville Books Bookshop UK Nestled in the rolling hills of the South Wales valleys, we are the only independent bookshop in Pontypridd, selling new books and more.

I was at the wonderful @storyvillebooks.bsky.social yesterday, and signed a load of stock for them. Overnight, the shop and many of their neighbours were devastated by flooding. Please help them out by buying from them online, and help spread the word. uk.bookshop.org/shop/Storyvi... #KidLitUK

Latest read: The Blackbirds of St Giles by @lilacaine.bsky.social One of the most exciting books I've read in ages. Daniel is such a real, believable hero with flaws & secrets & huge integrity. I was rooting for him from 1st page to last. An atmospheric, compelling read. Out January 2025

This is maddening if you use MS word to write books. Opt out to stop them using your writing to train A.I. Please share.

I have just finished this #booksky, and I am in pieces. An unbelievably moving story about love, memory and aging, it is beautiful in so many ways. I can't wait to discuss this with my FB book club. Also I'm off to give both of my parents an enormous hug.

Baffled as to why BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds aren’t here, so no links, but if you missed it do catch this morning’s Start the Week. Fascinating discussion, especially with Lucy Hughes-Hallett about George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham, the subject of her new book β€˜Scapegoat’.
