The study was conducted among professional athletes in the southern regions of Israel. The prolonged unstable security situation in this region in recent years has made the population vulnerable in all aspects of life. Exposure to such stress can evoke feelings of anxiety and anger, fear, helplessness, sadness, tension, and also psychiatric disorders such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. The research conducted used qualitative research methods and conducted in-depth interviews with 25 athletes residing in the area who stayed there during the ‘Iron Swords War’.
