Brendan Carr tweet in response to a Daily Beast tweet. The Daily Beast tweet says "Donald Trump's FCC chairman Brendan Carr is boasting to friends that he is having "the time of his life" after launching an all-out attack on the media, the Daily Beast has learned."
To which Carr smugly responds: "Find a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life."
Brendan Carr's biggest accomplishment in life is to make a mockery of the First Amendment he pretended to support to win the praise of a dictator who barely knows he exists.

What happens to federal preemption when Congress doesn't enforce its laws?
The banks would much rather have the CFPB than California and New York and anyone else come after them with different, potentially conflicting laws. Federal agencies are a way of making regulation MORE efficient, not less.

Restricting the liberty to report that police are conducting a raid at a certain location imperils First Amendment rights. Courts should closely scrutinize claims that immigration raids make some kind of exception. Also, could FCC chief Brendan Carr please stop posing as a free speech defender?

UNCLE OβGRIMACEY As positive as the Shamrock Shakeβs impact has been, there have been some missteps. To help promote the Shamrock Shake, McDonalds introduced the new mascot character Uncle O'Grimacey in 1975. The Irish uncle of the purple mascot Grimace, Uncle O'Grimacey (complete in his kelly green hat, shamrock-patterned vest, and a shillelagh) would travel from Ireland each year bringing Shamrock Shakes to McDonaldland. Uncle O'Grimacey was quietly phased out of McDonalds marketing after a few years due in part to an alleged incident in Philadelphia in 1978 where the person portraying him made statements in support of the IRA and that British soldiers were better dead than alive.
so mcdonald's is bringing back Uncle O'Grimacey with this year's shamrock shakes, and you need to know his history

Tweet by CJ Pearson, co-chair of some youth GOP group showing the NY Mag cover "The Cruel Kids Table" showing a celebratory party over Trump's victory. His tweet says: "NEWS: I have made the decision to retain legal counsel and will soon issue
@NYMag
formal notice.
For TOO long, the media has been allowed to slander conservatives, painting us as racists without consequence.
In the same spirit as
@realDonaldTrump
, Itβs time we fight back."
A reply from Jason saying: "Curious, what would the case even be?"
Pearson replies: "The basis of the case is false light defamation. Removing myself from the situation for a bit: nearly every person in the cover photo is a private citizen. Labeling them as cruel, inhumane, or creating the implication that they would attend some exclusively white racist political event is defamatory."
So the "free speech absolutists" are now claiming that putting your picture on the cover of a magazine with the headline "the cruel kids table" is "false light defamation."
These guys simply crumple into mush at even the slightest hint that maybe, just maybe, some people don't like them.

And his executive order on free speech isnβt what it claims to be.

We All Lose in Trumpβs War Against Trans Americans
His cynical executive orders targeting trans people will harm important American institutions by taking away talent, energy, and the plain competence our country needs.
The Democrats' loss of ground on trans issues "has been an entirely self-administered failure, the result of a surrender to soi-disant 'trans advocates' from the faculty lounge and other dens of leftismβfew of whom are themselves transgender."
