oh haha good find! and yes proving feedback on the glossary would be fab! the thing i would do is problem on the glossary page, click the drop button and choose the "discuss" option. there you might provide your suggested improvement as well as change the page status to needs work?

what you mean with "to see that entry at a higher level"? you mean that bit of information presented at another part of the docs, easier discoverable or within the glossary?

but also rather tricky to structure so everyone is able to find their objective easily with such a broad body of knowledge :/ but definitely an important point to improve and clarify! (as often the information is there)

ugh i wouldn't have looked there either. When i was following your search journey a few days ago looking for the keyword "deploy" i havent found that page either. even though i pointed you to the youtube video also. i take that into consideration for the docs suggestion as well. confusing stuff.

Oh and I forgot, joining the Drupal Slack www.drupal.org/join-slack, aside getting an account on drupal.org would be another recommendable option. The support channel there is helpful in case of any problems and questions.

"I think this is outdated because it introduces OO and Symfony, etc which Drupal has been using for over 10." is a reasonable explanation imho. but i agree without that context, the first page being deprecated is rather confusing. thanks! will see what could be done here.

and in regard to the deprecation notice. do you already have an account on drupal.org? if you click the drop button next to the edit button you see the "view history" option. There you see the comment explaining the deprecation.

an update about the deploying issue. current plan is to add an entry to the "installing drupal" wiki page, and after that see if it is necessary to also add something to the user guide (which is a bit more complicated and entails more tasks)

I’ve browsed a bit the getting started docs, the user guide, and searched for "deploy" getting me a few matches (eg common development workflows, deploying a Drupal update). The necessary info is there, but scattered and there is no chapter at the end of for example the getting started guide.

probably both, i just want to understand what were or still are the stumbling blocks that you've considered challenging and concerning in the docs? always good to know where docs have a room for improvement and need more work.

may i ask, which parts and aspects of the docs had caused you problems?
