I'm totally open to being wrong; I welcome it in fact given i think Raja has about 75-25 odds of winning. I just would like to see some positives from his supporters.

Listen. I'm not saying Durbin is good. Far from it. Just that he had a bright spot with dreamers. I have yet to see a particularly bright spot from raja. Also I wasn't posting from a place of anger so I'm not sure where that came from.

The big one is Durbin is/was one of the big driving forces behind protections for DREAMers. Raja by contrast hoovers up money from whatever source is happy to give it including ICE contractors

Younger so we have to endure his badness for longer in a state that can do significantly better. Thats a big way. But Durbin as much as he sucks has SOME decent principles. Raja is the epitome of empty suit sellout.

Personally for Stratton but the fact that raja has been on air for half a year and she just got up on air is malpractice. Raja is worse than Durbin if you ask me.

There's never a bad time to say "I made a mistake. I messed up. I didn't realize what this administration would do and what it was capable of doing". There's never a bad time for humility, and there's never a bad time to receive grace. You don't have to stay on board the rapidly sinking ship of the trump fanbase. It's okay to get off. But if you do get off, please and I say this as kindly as possible, learn lessons from your past mistake. Please reflect on the fact that you were likely warned it was going to be this bad. And in the spirit of humility internalize those lessons moving forward in your civic life.

Something I felt compelled to say. I doubt it is useful on here since I am surrounded by people who already know where we should be, and I doubt it will be useful there because it will fall on deaf ears. But I still wanted to get it out.
