Hi! "Luxuries" are so named because they used to be much more expensive compared to necessities. E.g. a television used to cost a few months' rent. I called my MP about 2 weeks ago and followed up by email with a summary of everything I mentioned on the call. I would highly recommend everyone do the same. I spoke to a member of my MP's staff, but they were very attentive, taking notes, asking relevant questions, and responding thoughtfully.
