Next, an asteroids clone. My goofy take on it: a ship of cheese, mice as asteroids, and small humans as extra enemies! Focusing on physics-based movement, screen-wrapping, game juice and particles!

I've re-evaluated the assets, colors, game balance, and overall feel of my third game. With more experience, I'm much happier with it now. A stronger, second look established how much I've learned so far. I'm very proud of myself!

Same goes for the "phone zombie". I drove away from the dull gray coloring and instead gave it a vivid color that will work nicely with the level design, yet be it's own being that is very noticeable.

Racing car asset for I need to go by Problem 18.

I'm revising my art for "I need to go" so it reflects my improvements in art. Applying color theory, wasting less time by using Aseprite's shortcuts.

For example the racing car, a fast obstacle that needs to be timed to dodge, in 3 color variants.

I'm not happy with "I need to go". Despite this being a learning exercise, it lacks the polish of the previous game. I'm ahead of schedule, I'll focus the next days on improving the game, and applying what I've learned.

Perhaps it was my fault, but is the lack of sound effects intended?

Other than that, idea is great and it's fun, and the monkey is hilarious! I did find myself in a difficult spot (129-130M) where it was hard to see how to get through the big stack of boxes.

I think I get what you mean. I think seeing games like Hades and Hollow Knight shows what kind of talent the people behind those games have. Makes me want to see what other amazing games they can make besides that one big hit.

Can't blame them for making sequels either, though.
