I’m 69 years old and on Tuesday we are driving a documented Haitian immigrant to her asylum hearing in Detroit because she doesn’t have a car. I’m apprehensive that it won’t end well, but want her to know that some of us do have compassion and Trump/ Miller/ Noem don’t represent us.

I agree and am anxious that the institutions that would have blocked him are now fully in his control. It makes the midterms essential for removing the GOP control of Congress and state houses.

It is grim. When the government is being weaponized against its own citizens, we’ve become Russia. Trump is the focal point, but there’s lots of collaborators trying to grab a little power and dollars for themselves.
