I don’t think we’ll achieve true progress unless we recognize that Liberalism as an ideology is what got us today’s flavor of fascism.

Without reckoning with that, we’re stuck in the same reactionary pendulum swing.

1. A protest with a permit is a parade.
2. Mobilizing is just the first step, now ORGANIZE with a real leftist org.

I’m not a single issue voter but Palestine is absolutely the litmus test.

If you can’t proudly stand against the one of the most obvious and biggest crimes of our generation, you’re already compromised.

Your morals are clearly up for sale.

Don't think Americans realize how resilient China or Chinese people are. They've been preparing for this moment for decades.

Americans are not accustomed to even the slightest amount of discomfort.. China lived through a century of war, famine, and turmoil to get to where they are today.

Anyone else think it’s weird these national Hands Off protests by 50501 were organized the same day as a major mobilization for Palestine in DC? Their marches took over the media, yet in all the HandsOff rallies there is no mention of Palestine and they’re vocally pro-NATO.

Interesting timing

Kwame Ture has said that mobilization is not organization, and we need to do both to actually make systemic change.

For all the new folks protesting - remember what you do that day isn’t nearly as important as the day after (and the day after that). Let this lead to greater organizing!

Like many, I'm mourning the martyrdom of Hossam and Mansour, two (more) Palestinian journalists assassinated by the IOF. That + the new level of violence in Palestine, it all feels (rightfully) defeating.

ICE is a key tool of oppressing immigrants (Immigrant Rights).
ICE detention centers are often run by private prison companies (Abolition).
Those companies are trained / use tech by Israel (Palestine).

There’s no such thing as a flawless victory. But I’d say a Palestinian saying “stop the occupation” at the most Zionist event of the most Zionist industry is a huge win.

It shows that the culture here is changing.

It’s a shame that even when a Palestinian filmmaker wins an Oscar for the first time for telling their story, all anyone can focus on is the Israeli.

Talk about Massafer Yatta. Talk about settler violence. Talk about the West Bank and Jenin! So many more important things than Yuval’s reputation.

After becoming more aware of politics and how narratives are formed and cemented into reality, I’m fairly certain about 50% of recorded history is probably revisionist bullshit.

The US has never helped Ukraine out of kindness. ALL of the military aid is a LOAN to Ukraine, and the US always collects.

The UK got the same deal to help them in WW2 and they were paying off that debt for over 50 years.

That's not even mentioning the mineral rights...

Definitely, the right were able to build a tenuous coalition of Christian fundamentalists, white supremacists, neocons, and tech oligarchs. It will be interesting to see if it can hold for the 4 years.

An absolutely vital discussion for all of us on the left. Right-wing authoritarians have a clear, if twisted, vision for the world they want. If the left (read: working class) want to win, we need to come up with something just as compelling.
