These were an unauthorised introduction at one of the most important and intact SSSI/SAC valley fen sites in Suffolk. They have since led to damaging trampling of the fen vegetation by photographers so it goes from bad to worseβ¦β¦.

The winter highlight in this part of Suffolk are the huge flocks of Redwings and Fieldfares that are drawn to the local orchards. These more traditional orchards are financially borderline and at high risk of being grubbed up. Buying local could still save these wonderful places if people choose to
