Aka yasegumi. Conservatively progressive devil’s advocate economist, Pythonista, wannabe mathematician. Favorite meme ¿Porque no los dos? but rarely happy with either side.

Half of Americans don’t have a passport, so Republicans want to charge you $130 just to exercise a constitutional right. Married women will be found ineligible if their documents do not match their new name.

But that doesn’t really address the digital divide in the US, or “web abuse”.
OK, defending the 5-3 power play was valiant.
Partying with Ka$h … yeccch.
America beat a visibly better Canadian team, and the winning goal was scored on a shot that probably wouldn’t have been available 5-on-5. I wouldn’t take the win away, the Canadians didn’t convert that shots on goal advantage. But it wasn’t a win to be proud of.
2/2
I didn’t take statistics, but it sure seemed like 3/4 of Canadian passes and 1/3 of US passes ended up stuck like ketchup on the White House wall to a Canadian stick, while American sticks did a lot of random deflection (admittedly one of those behind-the-back deflections saved a decisive goal).

Well, no, I haven’t bothered to mention their role in addicting our kids, indenturing our youth to the gig economy, and perverting our politics. If you measure the economy by the disposable income of the median household, there’s been no growth at all since the election of Reagan. I’m just not sure…

He did not know that the coprolalia was going to come out—until it did. He knew there was a risk—for him there always is. He cannot “manage” his condition; he has a binary choice—accept the risk, or not. This was important to him, he accepted the risk—he lost the bet.
Not much, a little Usenet (all my email was local). In 1981 I started using email and FTP to communicate with SAS (and once with the Social Security Administration) on my advisor’s consulting/sponsored research. Email and FTP started ramping up in about 1984 when I acquired an 8088 and got into OSS.

I’ve been using the Internet since 1979, and my core use cases haven’t really changed since then. Web adds a veneer of convenience to daily life, but the difference between next day delivery and next week, or maybe go to a store, is no more than a veneer.

You can disagree with that treaty, but Western governments are mostly going to respect it.
Because as horrible as typical RF soldiers are, these are still mutilated and killed human beings.

Why not? All the conservative parties are subsidiaries of the global broligarchy now. Reform is just wholly owned.😎
