Considering starting a podcast regarding Buddhist philosophy and practice and how to use it to deal with every day problems. Feel free to drop a question below and maybe I’ll cover it in an episode.

Is there something you’re upset about? Is there something you’re grateful for? Remember, both are impermanent. #philosophy #dhamma #buddhism

If you need any further advice on the subject - let me know - and perhaps I can make a podcast episode on the topic?

I often speak about compassion and receive mixed reviews. Compassion doesn’t mean letting others mistreat you. Compassion is a profound strength. When we hold it, even for those who hold hatred and greed, we seek the well being of all & eliminate the perpetuation of suffering. #philososphy #dhamma

Sometimes, when I quiet my mind enough through meditation, I can feel the blood pumping in my veins. I can feel it all throughout my body. It’s both beautiful and terrifying - to realize that it’s the very thing keeping me alive. #meditation #selfrealization

Many Pali words are hard to translate into English. This is why there are many translations. Practice is crucial for this reason, to give us clear understanding of these concepts through experience. That being said, broken down we find “Du” means bad/difficult and “Kha…” empty. #philosophy #buddhism

Life is uncomfortable. It’s just a fact. The Buddhists call this Dukkha, meaning “unsatisfactoriness.” Instead of reacting to it and chasing pleasure, the Dhamma teaches us to stay present with Dukkha and realize its impermanence— in turn, liberating ourselves from it. #philosophy

Remember, when it comes to meditation, there’s no “goal.” Sitting down with the intention of “gaining something” is the antithesis of practice. Instead, sit with the intention to simply observe. This is true practice and removes unproductive expectation. #meditation #mindfulness #dhamma #buddhism

Remember, there is no blind faith or dogmas in Buddhism. The word Dhamma is used alongside the understanding of self realization through contemplation, practice, and #meditation. may you be well and free of suffering. #dhamma #buddhism #spirituality

Dhamma/dharma in Buddhist traditions translates to “truth.” You might often hear Buddhist teachers use the word in this way:

Ex: “and once you understand this Dhamma for yourself,” or “this Dhamma is powerful.”

Remember / nothing any spiritual person, or even psychologist for that matter, tells you will make any difference in your life until you put it into practice - consistently enough to fundamentally change the way you see yourself and the world. #spirituality #psychology

Mindfulness or “sati” in Pali is originally a Buddhist practice. Western society has coined it into a buzz word to commercialize spirituality. “Sati” also translates to “to remember.” Remember what? To return to this moment, the present moment, the only moment that exists #mindfulness #meditation

OK so let’s talk Theravādan philosophy, first lesson. You suffer, you suffer because you cling, you don’t have to suffer, and the way to that is an 8 step method 😁🥇
