Ancient silver goblet preserves oldest known image of cosmic creation
The images hammered into the sides of a goblet found in Palestine give us an idea of what people living more than 4000 years ago imagined the creation of the cosmos looked like
The artwork on a 4300-year-old silver goblet unearthed in the Palestinian West Bank appears to show the universe forming out of primordial chaos โ making it the oldest known visual representation of a creation myth.

Port Huron Times Herald, November 12, 1966. I did not know Leonard Nimoy based Spock's speech patterns on Somerset Maugham! Remarkable.
"Spock probably learned English formally. To achieve this kind of speech pattern I listened to recordings of Somerset Maugham reading his own short stories."

Soviet submarine commodore Vasily Arkhipov may well have saved the world today in 1962.
Off Cuba, Soviet sub B-59 was being depth charged by US ships & was out of contact with the USSR. The captain, assuming they were at war, wished to launch a nuclear torpedo. Arkhipov vetoed it.
