I think your hope for 2026 is laudable, but also very unrealistic. Trump is emboldened every time he gets away with stuff like this.

I don't think Bayer paid enough. Companies never end up paying for the damage they knowingly do to people and the enviornment. And really, there needs to be criminal consequences for people who create the conditions for harm to occur to their customers. If the price is only in $, they don't care.

I agree though that people could be a bit more civil on flights, it's a stressful situation, and far removed from the "golden age of travel" when there was legroom, decent food, and people weren't herded around like cattle.

Capitulation is running to a safe corner. That's what most of MAGA wants to do, when they eat up the Fox slop, and disengage from their friends and family. It's hard work to deal with some of their BS talking points, I get that, but worth the trouble for those I care about.

I've heard this before tbh. Whenever the indisputable facts are not in the favor of somebody who is parroting the Fox talking points, "they all lie" is the usual bastion they retreat to. I'm no fan of Maduro, but we should not be killing people in an undeclared war for more oil. There was no immediate threat, and it's unconscionable that in pursuing Trump's aggressive policy they may have blown up some fishermen trying to provide for their families.

Seems like groceries are up a lot more than that.
