Ex-Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura: “We’re a 3rd world country now. I know. I’ve been to ‘em. I spent 17 months in SE Asia while the draft dodger was playing golf… that’s what happens in a dictatorship. In comes the military. That’s what’s happening here.” 🇺🇸

I invite all Americans to join Minnesota in a day of unity tomorrow.

Doesn't seem like she has any real alternative, other than pulling up the ladder. It's the typical GOP BS. They point to some idealized fantasy world that never existed, while they dismantle the things which keep our current world from falling back into the worst times in history, which did exist.

"undermined by polarized debate"?

Sorry, but there was no "debate", it was canceled at the 11th hour by an orange-faced man child who thinks windmills cause cancer.

I think your hope for 2026 is laudable, but also very unrealistic. Trump is emboldened every time he gets away with stuff like this.

He seems to be all out of decent ideas, so I'd help him out by suggesting some good old fashioned legroom, and a seat that is wide enough for a 95th percentile rear end. He can then take that to his corporate overlords, and watch them laugh manically.

Really, Walmart and McDonalds should probably be paying their salary.

Charity navigator is great for looking this stuff up. They are also a charity, and their CEO makes less than a third of that, according to... Charity Navigator.

It's unfortunately pretty common though, with large charities saying they need to offer the $ to get "talent" to bring in more bucks.

The latest in pardon corruption: Joseph Schwartz, a convicted fraudster, paid two other convicted fraudsters nearly $1M to get him a pardon. And it worked 🤯 youtube.com/shorts/_1n_C...

I have the data, and I must scream Three weeks tracing DHS contracts through Baltimore, the Mid-Atlantic, and beyond

“Surveillance tools justified for one purpose inevitably expand to others. Immigrant or not, this expansion should horrify everyone as ICE and CBP continue their campaign of indiscriminate violence in yet more American cities.”

This is some really patronizing BS from the administration. They have zero ideas on how to actually improve things, and won't do anything to antagonize the airlines. So they come up with this garbage and put the industry's troubles in the lap of passengers. Duffy needs to play with some Legos.

The EPA will approve two new pesticides containing “forever chemicals” and relax a reporting rule for companies who make products with forever chemicals.

The moves come after a $60 million lobbying blitz from the forever chemical industry.

Where is the MAHA outcry?

I don't think Bayer paid enough. Companies never end up paying for the damage they knowingly do to people and the enviornment. And really, there needs to be criminal consequences for people who create the conditions for harm to occur to their customers. If the price is only in $, they don't care.

Farmers already have to deal with fields contaminated with PFAS from sludge (used as fertilizer), and now this?

I wonder how long it will be before other countries decide they have a problem with importing crops treated with forever chemicals? I guess they can always just feed it to us Americans.

Europe has to play the game, but they also need to be there to make sure Ukraine is not left alone to be bullied by the US into a bad deal. Hopefully they will be the voice of reason, since appeasing Putin is only going to give him more reason to keep trying to push the borders of europe back.

The only security guarantee worth the paper it's printed on, after the farcical Budapest Memorandum, is a fast path to NATO membership and a joint NATO/Ukraine force garrisoned inside the country, with a mandate to respond quickly to any incursion. Anything less is just asking for more trouble.

I can only image the outrage if Obama had suggested people dress up to fly🤣

I agree though that people could be a bit more civil on flights, it's a stressful situation, and far removed from the "golden age of travel" when there was legroom, decent food, and people weren't herded around like cattle.

Capitulation is running to a safe corner. That's what most of MAGA wants to do, when they eat up the Fox slop, and disengage from their friends and family. It's hard work to deal with some of their BS talking points, I get that, but worth the trouble for those I care about.

This is such a mess. I just hope that people there keep their heads cool, stay smart, safe and peaceful in the face of this nightmare.

I've heard this before tbh. Whenever the indisputable facts are not in the favor of somebody who is parroting the Fox talking points, "they all lie" is the usual bastion they retreat to. It's a reliable tactic too, when coupled with "whataboutism". Maybe a good 1st step, but definitely a baby step.

I'm no fan of Maduro, but we should not be killing people in an undeclared war for more oil. There was no immediate threat, and it's unconscionable that in pursuing Trump's aggressive policy they may have blown up some fishermen trying to provide for their families.
