My childhood ambition was to become a writer. Although life had me traveling different roads, the space for me to write remained open. You could say that my words in print is a dream come true.

It's possible that I will never stop crying about Cyrus. I wrote about him and I cried about him, again. And so it will go on for a little bit longer. Miss you so very much buddy.

In designing my jewelry, I feel grateful to witness my expertise as a product designer kick in: what are the pain points of the current experience, and how can I solve them in my designs?

From writing to discover its essence, to sketch, to paper prototyping, to metal — I'm excited to see where this one goes.

Every piece I'd made has been a tribute to Cyrus, but this one is especially so. It is an extension of our shared memories.

Last night I finished my 4th ring.

One thing I didn’t expect to gain was creative confidence. Having a vision from putting a piece of stone against my skin to a realized polished piece. I can make dreams come true. I just did.

I am thinking about drive. How even the most seemingly mundane of us needs it. Something that would be destroyed, even if symbolically, if we stop pushing ourselves. For me, it’s a combination of things — bills, my perceived identity, perfectionism, and Cyrus’s legacy.

The way I am overcoming self-doubt this year is by actively saying "NOPE not going there" when a defeating thought surfaces, and then converting that into an action instead that moves me closer to my goal.

Not much to show except I discovered half round wire last night and I'm going to try using them for my next ring band!

It is, frankly, life changing when you start your day prioritizing what moves your soul. I love working mountain time because I now get 2 hours in the morning to work on things that matters deeply and personally to me.
