If a leftist politician’s message has resonance, it’s because countless people (outside of elections and campaigns) have worked together to create a shared understanding of their conditions. Left politicians use these *already existing* conditions to attain office. They DO NOT create them!

I’m a stubborn cranky anarchist about every single elected official and always will be. I got shit for it when AOC first won office and time has only ever validated my position. Every politician is there to co-opt your power and energy: that’s their role in the system.

they want to use sex as a social practice (of domination, but not the fun kind) to shape the world in specific ways, toward the ends of cis male supremacy, white supremacy, patriarchy, the state, and capitalism. they want to be the only ones who are allowed to use sex.

it's a mistake to use framing in which "sex = good, no sex = bad," because this is also framing that benefits rape culture. sex is neutral, it is not even really one definable "thing" but a cluster of social and interpersonal practices of desire, bodily interaction, and yes sometimes power

evangelicals don't want to "ban sex," they want to rule by rape. (which entails total control over sex and over the bodies of subordinate gender classes & children thry patriarchal sexual authority.) critical difference

Don't blame the people resisting fascist violence for "provoking" it. That's the logic of abusers. The violence is already there (and Trump will always find an excuse); some people are just brave enough to resist and fight back.

why should we respond to violence with non-violence. they will attack and kill us no matter how we fight so we may as well go all out.

How did so many people attach to this idea that if Black people take to the streets, that's how the state will suspend normative law and deepen overt fascism? The state doesn't need Black people protesting or any alleged excuse for that matter to do what's already happening in plain sight.
