Agreed on all points. NWA may be on the brain as the exemplary rap group to support David’s (very valid) commodification point.

Overlooking Public Enemy is unfortunate, though, given how explicitly political they are. “Fight The Power” attacks Elvis and John Wayne, furthering the film’s themes.
