So, things seem to have gotten back to "normal" - the girls are happily planning a visit to Blackwater draw and (as Heather puts it) being lost in the desert

Out in the woods with 3 cute kids, and Sam. ... can't light a fire though, cos it might get out of hand, and we are technically in a state park! Happy Samhain, or whatever you celebrate.

Quick visit to SFO to pick up Sam, have lunch and go back to collect the girls from school ... might even have a busy day!

From what I can tell, the girls "twin language" is a mixture of several languages, and makes no sense to other people except "experts". Which is fine if you don't want to be understood.

We are all rather excited that Sam is coming down for Samhain ... the girls are allowed a late night as its a Friday.

Our 3 kids have adopted trees to sit in when they want quiet ... in a secret location, known only to the girls and their beeper. Bears, mountain lions, raccoons ... and 3 little girls - what could possibly go wrong?

KIm would like to know how a "100% tariff" on all movies made outside of the United States would work - particularly all the US movies made outside of the USA.

Almost no one in our house likes Fridays. We all need naps after or work/school. Heather wants to know how Alex does her homework on the way home.

I guess it depends when you grew-up, as distinct from when you were a child

In town, shopping, collecting kids, crowds are not my friends ... soon back to the quiet for dinner. Kim is in a hurry to get back to her trees, homework not so much

Heather likes her new school, Kim wishes she had the trees and Alex is just happy. Seems like an appropriate compromise. After a busy day at school, the girls disappear to different quiet places

Family cookie baking ... the girls are mixing their own dough, some interesting flavors being invented. Happy Labor day :-)

Back in St Helena, coming to terms with jetlag, girls napping, eating at strange hours - though i have noticed 3 chairs arranged on the porch. The Pickett fire has been noticed!

Having fun in the middle of somewhere - a blur of loughs, beaches, Inishmore .. now resting at Kilkieran. Back home next weekend so the girls can prepare for school. where does time go?

Settled into a cottage in Inreabhán. Started the day with a short walk and some coffe. Visited Dad/ my brother. Looking forward to a quiet morning.

Despite having to navigate service disruptions, have managed to get as far as Fitzrovia ... The girls gave the service a good review, and the tunnel as well. Good night folks.

Settled into the Paris House. I surprised Kim by having a nap yesterday ... Alex was helping Daddy do laundry. I think I need a holiday to recover from my holiday!

I guess if you have more than one beach to chose from, the solution is to visit all of them (lol) .. Heather also has 4 zoos to visit! yes,Kim still finds time to nap ...
