After owning the collection for a few years, I finally popped it in and beat Blaster Master Zero earlier in the week. I enjoyed my time with it but it’s oddly balanced. And despite it being somewhat of a Metroidvania, exploration is barely rewarded. Hopefully the sequels build upon it.

I also came to it later and played it a ton in college via the actual arcade board my college had and also emulator. It was just so cool and felt amazing! I'm not good at it, but it's just neat. Rock and Terry were just the epitome of cool!
