Definitely will next time we are there. I don't think my Grandfather spent anytime there - he only talked about building railways for the Japanese. He was on HMAS Perth, but I am interested to see how many of the soldiers of the 8th Division spent the rest of the war.

The 7th Div's 25th Brigade would capture Lae just 12 days later. The 9th Div's 20th Brigade was landed at Scarlet Beach, near Finschhafen just 8 days later.
