This is absolute nonsense. First of all, VCs don't do survey-based statistical sampling on this scale, where the error is somewhat inherent. Second, modeling errors on a much larger scale are a common and accepted risk in VC.

RFK Jr talking about the need for doctors to know how to treat measles for those who are unvaccinated.

β€œOnly very sick kids should die from measles.”

No. They shouldn’t. That was the point of the vaccine. We eradicated the virus so children didn’t die.

Sick & disabled kids are not expendable!

Idk, FDR is a significant character in Annie. And the ensemble literally sings a mean, sarcastic song about Herbert Hoover.

What DEI threatens isn’t merit. It’s monopoly. Political science professor Hakeem Jefferson argues for DEI's importance to de-monopolizing universities.

A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argueβ€”poorlyβ€”against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond.

I hope you’ll read and share the piece.

Have young voters really abandoned the Democrats? by Caroline Soler, Brian Schaffner, and Stephen Ansolabehere

A top contender for sure! I Don't Love You may be tops for me, though it's a *softer* angst. Though still a perfectly VALID angst.

I'd be wary of saying it's representative fwiw. Unless they have started a new sampling approach I'm unaware of.

I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

2024 Time Series Study - ANES | American National Election Studies

Dear American National Election Studies (ANES) User Community, we are pleased to announce the preliminary release of pre-election data for the ANES 2024 Time Series Study. The data and documentation can be downloaded from the study page at: electionstudies.org/data-center/...

20.02.2025 21:36 β€” πŸ‘ 108    πŸ” 32    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 2

Much more ANES data to come. We are most excited about the 3-wave panel with nearly 2000 completed interviews of the same respondents in 2016, 2020, and 2024. This will be coming in a few months. Very grateful to the ANES staff, Board, and of course the National Science Foundation.

There is a lot of talk about blue states resisting, etc. and this educator would humbly suggest that this is not the way forward.

I refuse to leave our people in red states behind. The Civil Rights Movement came from the Deep South. Red state progressives are some of the hardest working activists.

The American National Election Study is an NSF funded publicly available, incredibly rich dataset that tracks American public opinion, vote choice and evaluations of government that has been in the field since 1948. It is an incredible resource for teaching and research and must be protected.
