I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

You forfeited Americans' healthcare for one day of news in December that Americans won't even notice because they're too busy spending time with family.

Just pathetic. You guys are worse at politics than my damn terrier.

Narrator: Nobody watched. Nobody cared. Because it was the holidays, and because this vote made only one day's worth of news.

Eglin AFB. We served Florida NW Regional, but it was very low volume.

Mostly worked with the fighter test group on the F35 frame and the munitions testing they do at Eglin. However, it was eye-opening to see how things get done safely. One of the most mentally taxing jobs man has ever created.

I am going to be completely honest here, and this is coming from someone who served an enlistment as a Tower Controller in the USAF:

I don't have any clue how you guys manage commercial air traffic so safely on the archaic systems they have you using. No clue how you guys do it every day.

ATCers are more vulnerable to being a political football because they are a tiny group, and not doing their jobs means the country pretty much shuts down and/or people could die. Both are hard pills to swallow.

It's sad, because ATCers quite literally keep the country moving. 2/2

As in, most Americans will simply ignore this unless it eats into their air travel, because they likely don't personally know anyone who is an ATCer.

Unlike, say, military members. While they still make up a small percentage, it's high enough that most folks personally know a veteran. 1/2

Unfortunately, there aren't enough of them to move the needle.

Only about 14,000 of them total.

NOBODY WAS CONFUSED ABOUT WHO WAS STANDING UP FOR LOWER HEALTHCARE COSTS, TIM.

THEY ARE CONFUSED WHY YOU GAVE UP AFTER THEY VOTED TO SUPPORT THAT FIGHT.

God, we're led by the dumbest motherfuckers in the entire world.

10.11.2025 16:42 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Does this idiot really think Americans were confused about which party was holding out for healthcare costs during this shutdown?

Is he really that insulated from public opinion? Touch grass dude.

I've already read all that. I didn't frame this for the reader I quoted: they framed it based on the facts of what happened.

This fight*

10.11.2025 15:27 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Starting is fight only made sense if you were willing to force Republicans into owning a rapidly deteriorating America.

Causing this pain for weeks only to give in for nothing but a show vote is a slap in the face to the very Americans who need Democrats the most. It says they're playing games.

Again, then: why did they ever start the shutdown?

What was gained?

10.11.2025 14:37 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

All they got for this was Republicans voting to affirm they're against the ACA credits, which is not a thing Republicans ever claimed to support in the first place.

It will be a day's worth of news in December before something else replaces it. We withheld pay from workers for that?

10.11.2025 14:30 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 2    📌 0

So we stranded folks at airports and withheld pay from workers, all to make Republicans affirm they're against the ACA? Which they weren't ever denying?

So we... Caused all that pain for the status quo? For a day's worth of news in December?

10.11.2025 14:26 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

@democrats.org this is one of the dumbest, most cowardly, most craven political acts I've ever seen.

It's embarrassing. You just set up Americans to lose benefits forever.

What is to stop providers from billing at no insurance rates in this case?

Is it even being covered by insurance if it's just being paid directly from a savings account, or does paying with an FSA require the provider to honor negotiated rates?

A promise of a vote is as good as a fart in the wind.

Just pathetic.

09.11.2025 22:20 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

This actually angers me more, because I have family members who qualify for SNAP but refuse to apply for benefits because of the same Republican propaganda underpinning this fight.

So no, don't give me this. Republicans are responsible.

09.11.2025 22:03 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

No, that really just seems like once again acting as if Republicans have zero agency in this.

I'm done with that.

You either gotta be a complete dipshit or blind to look at that oval meeting and go "I mean, maybe he closed his eyes? Can't be sure, though."

@cnn.com, you guys are worthless man. Utterly worthless.

I'm starting to get the distinct feeling that political journalism is filled to the brim with the most craven, cowardly human beings in the world.

Just pathetic human beings.

Appearing to close his eyes?

Is every single person in your company completely blind?

It's like, if BlueSky doesn't receive enough new fuel from political events, it starts to cannibalize itself by making up facile fissure points within its own user base.

It's really weird.

This entire topic seems like folks just trying to find a way to argue over nothing, tbh.

Trump's winning 2024 coalition has evaporated Claims of a conservative realignment of non-whites, the working class, and young voters have been highly exaggerated

Dem gains in this week's elections erased the inroads Trump made with non-white, young, and low-income voters in 2024. In fact, the R-to-D shift from 24 to 25 is double Trump's gains from 20-24. Claims of a GOP political realignment have been highly exaggerated
