What a trash headline. Employees could ALWAYS pray in the workplace. This memo allows coercive proselytizing, potentially creating hostile work environments for rank-and-file staff when their supervisor starts trying to "persuade [them] of the correctness of their own religious views."

Such a bizarre and short-sighted decision. @recoveringfromreligion.org does incredibly valuable work for folks working to heal from very real trauma. It's baffling why St. John's Pride would go out of its way to stigmatize the 50%+ of LGBTQ+ people who are nonreligious. (via @friendlyatheist.com)

We stand in solidarity with our friends at @atheists.org & humanists across the globe. It's ridiculous and deeply embarrassing that our home - one of the first countries to constitutionally guarantee the right to free speech - is now considered an unsafe place for religious minorities to gather.

Today's split decision allowing the OK Supreme Court's ruling to stand is a stark reminder of the knife's edge that religious freedom — contrasted with exclusionary White Christian Nationalism — and public education are balancing on in America.

A hateful thing to say. People whose approach to life is not faith-based have done enormous good, majority non-religious societies have been some of the strongest proponents of human dignity and solidarity. Why is the BBC just printed this unchallenged? If it's "news", it should be balanced.

Proud of the work of secular advocates and partners in WA who took on this issue and fought to make it happen. We have to fight to stop the bad laws while ALSO working to advance good policy.
