It has a lot of positive qualities, but people play games for different reasons. For me: I like mechanical complexity and challenge.

That is supposed to be a late-game boss but you barely take any damage.

It lacks challenge. Look at the DMC series for a properly executed character action game.

This is in my running for worst game of all things considered ( studio, cost ) vs actual game play.

If you go with unreal, remember that you don't have to use every single feature. Avoid the gameplay ability system.

I HATED the AI framework ( not THAT kind of AI ) they try to teach in all of their tutorials, it is so complex and incoherent for what will mostly be patrol/attack/caution gameplay

Honestly Unreal is so huge and brutal, I always recommend Godot or Unity.

I know people like the blueprints b/c it makes coding easier but I didn't see the point, it is like coding with extra steps and less info density. Godot has a nice simplified language for games as well.
