god metroid dread is so good (bit linear but i'll let it off)

annoying quippy dialogue aside i've done no exploring at all so far, hours into the game. it's been completely linear

mercury steam still seem to have their finger on the pulse imo but yeah prime is kinda fucked it seems. trying to enjoy it but they keep having this dipshit call you to ruin every atmospheric moment it'd be funny if i didnt care so much

trying to stay optimistic because the gameplay is fun but i have never lost my enthusiasm for a game so quickly like what were they thinking jfc. perfectly good sequences are being ruined by adding some unfunny guy commenting on EVERYTHING with the most focus tested whedon/mcu style comments ever.

we don't need talking companions in a metroid game what are they thinking

I like anything that curls up into a ball to deal with difficult situations.

weird learning curve but it's like one of the few games actually about speed and when you learn the levels it's so fun. the death pits are a nuisance though. cream makes it more tolerable imo
