Crisis Continues for Humanities Councils as Appropriated Funds Remain in Limbo - Federation of State Humanities Councils
This network is critical to the cultural health of states and territories, yet councils are having to take unprecedented steps to survive.
"State humanities councils across the country are close to their breaking point...five months without full funding has caused staff layoffs, cancelled programs, and rapid fundraising to cover gaps while councils pivot to long-term sustainability." bit.ly/4fLDnLa

The latest issue of The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society is really great. It’s a special issue that examines abolition in the Bluegrass State. It’s up on JSTOR and Project Muse.

Saw Black Sabbath in Indianapolis about six or seven years ago. Incredible show. Ozzy really held his own. Only one song (“After Forever”) was a bit off but it was all still amazing. Rival Sons opened and were also great. Good memories.
