There is no danger of that. A family friend just had major shoulder surgery at 69 & the surgeon refused to rx opioids. Her plan isn’t manageable w/ ibuprofen- it’s proven that being in pain post op does slows healing & cause harm. Most people who take opioids as prescribed do not get addicted

I wish you’d do a segment on Los Angeles’ econ/jobs. I’ve never known so many unemployed & underemployed people in my entire life in LA. We are not counted in unemployment #’s .Many are 1099. Media consolidation,marketing/ad spend pull back, fires, ICE, tariffs, restaurants closing. It’s so bleak.

Correction - not enough in the congressional MAJORITY aka Republicans won’t stand up & say there’s no emergency. There are Democrats that have voiced this early on but only the GOP can stop it. They are power hungry, cowards. This hurts ALL their constituents & even folks like Bezos.
