Taught a class on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion today, and every one of my students said they've seen content on TikTok that comes directly from it, without knowing before today what the source was.

For satire to work, it must either be so outrageous as to make us take pause or it must be rooted in truth. I believe this is satire rooted in truth.

A reminder that last baseball season, our newly enshrined women’s singles Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu threw out the first pitch at a Cardinals game with a pretty sweet double axel on land!

(She looks three feet tall here)

Todd is almost 10. I'm the 3rd old lady that he's lived with. I'm pretty sure he's never been groomed. When I brush him, he looks exactly the same 10 minutes later. I don't know what to do with him. I've never had a dog with this kind of coat.

Behind almost every university crisis:
1) shady real estate deals or even worse financial malfeasance
2) sports

And the solution is always to shrink the humanities, the reliable profit center

Joneal Joplin was involved. So was Sally Eaton. I thought John Contini as well, but I'm not sure.

20 or so years ago, I could have told you the actors' names behind many of The Letter People. Now I seem to only remember two and I'm not sure which letter they were. They were all older local actors at the very beginning of my daughter's theater career.

They have even invaded Beaufort, Missouri. How much do they get in return for giving up valuable space in a tiny grocery?

Kirkwood has Scott Bacula, Colin Donnell, Nikki Glaser and more. But I went to Lindbergh. Not aware of any actors, but I may be wrong. I've managed to avoid all reunions and haven't set foot in that place since graduation. It was not my favorite place in 1974.

Gigantic HS in the St Louis suburbs. Over 1,000 in my class of 1974 alone. I have no idea if anyone is famous. I guess we were all dummies.

My grandmother came through Ellis Island at age 6 in 1903 with her mother and 2 brothers from Hungary. No questions asked other than who is meeting you on this end. My great grandfather had arrived a year earlier and was employed as a glassblower in Alton Illinois.

From HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT:

"Trump covers up crime with scandal. That is his main propaganda tactic, the one few seem to be able to discern...The crimes are much worse than the scandals, but the media will always take the scandal bait."

This took some getting used to when I moved here. Our closest takeout is a deli counter in a small grocery 6 miles away. We have to cook and avoid processed food at the same time. Using minimal boxes or cans is time-consuming. I could not do it while employed full time.
