Time to reset, relax, and spend the weekend mucking around with some video ideas bouncing around in my head.

It’s a tasty way to cap off a week that’s included AI article edits, a wedding video edit, content for a LinkedIn group, and some cold outreach which has resulted in some positive responses.

Wrapping up the week with a fresh beer.

This one comes from Goodland Brewing Co. They give me One Drop vibes with their fruit-packed beverages that explode with incredible flavours. One sip tastes like lychees, the next is bursting with strawberries. I swear I’m not imagining it because of the ABV.

I’ll also work on some content for a community engagement project and reach out to a few businesses about potential work.

That sounds like a lot. Best get started.

My hours are capped daily for this project, so once I reach my limit, I’ll move on to a new wedding video project. I prepped the footage yesterday. Today, I’ll go through the ceremony and pull out the best bits.

I also notice that the bot’s contributions don't flow well with the surrounding text, so I fix that too.

The highlighted green text you can see is what the AI wrote. My job is to make it more interesting. The bot the company uses tends to repeat phrases, make sentences really long, and include made-up facts.

I wrapped up an AI editing project yesterday, and today, I start a brand new one.

I’m also volunteering for an online community to help them boost member engagement. It’s something completely different and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I’ve already got a few ideas, but I want to do a bit more research before presenting to the group.

I’ll also jump back into editing some AI articles. For this, I’ll fact-check and improve the content the bot produces. I like to enhance the flow and structure while I’m at it.

A new wedding project is ready to download, so I’ll grab that at the end of the day and start it this week.

What’s this week going to bring?

I’m kicking Monday off with a little bit of content strategy work. I’ll be making some recommendations on how to improve search rankings for a few articles. Some are already in the number one spot, so the focus is on keeping them there.

I felt a similar feeling with Tetris Effect. It must be a developer trick.

I even expanded my network and reached out to a few new people. It was cool to connect, check out their content, and learn more about what they do. It’s something I plan on doing more regularly.

Just wrapped up another week.

I updated a bunch of Black Friday and Cyber Monday pages in preparation for the big sales event, wrote a new article which hasn’t happened in a while, and finished up another wedding video.

Now my name and photo appear more often on bylines and at the bottom of articles, which is great.

I’ve been writing new content and editing pages for this website for almost two years, but I was fine being uncredited. Photos of me would appear here and there when I was testing products like VPNs, password managers, and antivirus apps.

This afternoon, I’ll be back at my desk to work on a wedding video.

I’d better get to it before my battery dies.

Yesterday, I did a full rewrite of an old blog. Today’s piece is the same topic, but for a different website. It’s always fun to find new ways to write the same thing and challenge myself to make it unique.

Working unplugged this morning.

A change of scenery is always nice. It sparks new ideas and gets me out of my comfort zone.

I need it today as I’m not editing any AI articles. I’m actually writing an article from scratch. The old school way.

That’s just one example. If you're covering a category with similar products, you'll likely see the same descriptors pop up in every article.

Some of your readers might not care, but you might be missing out on others who feel like they’re having deja vu.

Just something to keep in mind.

I’ve got an advantage because I’m reviewing a bunch of blogs on the same topic back-to-back. One category is VPNs, and most of them use AES-256 encryption. The AI generator the company uses loves to say how it’s used by the government to secure sensitive documents.

Here’s a pro tip from someone who’s been editing a ton of AI generated articles.

Watch for identical descriptions for jargon terms.

All in all, no complaints. I’ve got more work to do next week, which should involve a new project. My website domain should have transferred, which means I can launch the WordPress version.
