Screen shot from article that says
“We conclude that humans are affected by the luminescence cycles and also the gravimetric cycles of the Moon, with the menstrual cycles aligning with the synodic month. Furthermore, we hypothesize that, in ancient times, human reproductive behavior was synchronous with the Moon, but that our modern lifestyle, particularly our increasing exposure to artificial light at night, has altered this relationship.”
Every ancient historian should read this article bc the implications 🤯 www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

A shot of the HBO who’s watching screen on their app and there are 5 different profiles, all of Guy Fieri’s face
It’s been a month and no one in our family has said anything about, what I think to be, the best prank ever.

"There are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue."
Damn, what a coincidence. All these news orgs keep laying off the same types of people while a bilious, rapey, leather-faced buffoon provides them cover and shakes them down for money to build a library named for a man who does not read.

Now seeing accounts claim that AI being “trained on” art & books to generate content isn’t “stealing.”
When a student uses a book to generate a paper and doesn’t cite it, what do we call that?

It’s Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume but it’s so grotesque you can’t see it’s Heidi Klum’s. She’s Medusa and it’s truly amazing. She’s all green and scales, down her torso and arms. The snakes are all ta fled with hair on her head and her face is terrifying, with pointy serpentine teeth, and snake eye contact lenses. It’s movie-level makeup.
Someone write an academic paper on Heidi Klum’s Halloween costumes

Okay so it’s dark in the pic and there’s a blow up alien with a jack o lantern in front of him. But the alien (Greg) is super happy and cute. Also the alien is glowing against a dark brick wall behind him. It’s a bit fuzzy but that’s because it’s kinda hard to take pics at night because you have to hold your phone super still and honestly I’m not good at that. So it’s kinda fuzzy. But not bc it’s chat gpt. It’s bc I’m not good at holding still. Also Greg is so cute.
Meet Greg!

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same

I have long believed that we should be WAY more vocal about how police and ICE constantly murder dogs, and I think this is great messaging actually.
The reality is that you can mobilize a whole lot of usually tuned-out Americans around a “someone is being mean to hecking doggos” cause.

What were they planning?
Getting flip phones and destroying their smart phones. So that’s where the history majors are at.
